Buy Bio-clean and use it as recommended. It will clean the hair and also help your septic system as it is an organic bacteria that eats food, waste, hair, grease, etc. it will help clean up your septic system as well as your drains. Also, very environmentally friendly. Go to: statewidesupply.com and you can read about it and also find out where a dealer is located to buy some, best of luck

No chemicals into the system period. None , even household stuff or stuff from kitchen.

You can buy a Crank Snake at Lowes, the hand held one with a crank on it. Those are cranked and pushed down the drains of the sink. Easy to do, they remove all traces of blockage.

I really do not understand why people buy Draino or those other harsh chemicals when such a handy tool like a Crank Snake for $10 works best and lasts a lifetime.

There should be a trap (flowing elbow in the pipe) just below the sink. You can typically remove theses with no tools on newer homes (20 years), or you may need a wrench. Remove the trap, clean it out, and reinstall it
