Can plumber snakes can be used without electric nor gas?
Because I just want to learn to fix the double kitchen sink.

My landlord had one that was wind up and she turned the lever to snake the drain. If the clog isn’t too bad, they have the snake “cans” where you put them over the drain and then push down and it “snakes” with air pressure, but unfortunately, when I did that it blew up in my face. I ended up taking the plumbing apart and cleaning out the pipes but what a mess that was.

There is a hand held snake with a handle on the rear housing of the unit. You turn the drum by turning the handle, but you have to feed the snake down any drain by hand. You can get them with various lengths of the snake that’s inside the rotating drum. I have a 35′ snake with mine, but if you can find one with a swivel on the end of the snake, it’s allot easier to make it past the P-trap. Especially in a bathtub drain.

Sink drains just use plunger.
Stools they have a stool snake, hand held and operated.
Main drain is what the other answers are talking about.
We renovated our kitchen and my husband installed a double sink, a new garbage disposal, a diswasher, and the drain pipes that remove all that waste water to the wall where the old pipes now begin. Why are we experiencing this super slow drainage? The drains worked with no problems before, so
the liquid fire/the sulphoric acid didn’t work. it just keeps getting progressively worse. we’ve tried everything under the son and we’re afraid its time to call a plumber. But its only the kitchen sink thats giving us a problem. Not the toilet or bathroom. Any ideas of what the problem might be and how
If plumbing was originally in a house but was tore out for scrap (including the hot water tank) do I need any permits to have it reinstalled? Are there any codes (Ohio) that say what type of heating needs to be used? Are plug in electric heaters allowed for main heating source in most places?
I have a regular snake type of plumbing tool, is there something similar but electric and not too pricy?

I have moved into an older style apartment and there’s no plumbing set up for the washing machine. The landlord mentioned I could somehow keep the washing machine in the corner and wheel it over to the kitchen sink and hook it up to the taps there when I needed to use it.
